The Wes-Del Board of Trustees meeting on Thursday, February 8th, 2024 will be held at Wes-Del Elementary.
Wes-Del Community Schools is excited to announce that Josh Burkett has been named the Student Service Coordinator at Wes-Del Elementary.
On Thursday, January 25th, 2024 the Wes-Del Board of Trustees awarded the baseball and softball renovation bid to F.H. Paschen based out of Chicago, Illinois.
The baseball and softball renovations will include:
New dugouts at the softball and baseball fields
New press boxes at the softball and baseball fields
All new backstops, netting, and brick “knee” walls at both fields
New concrete spectator areas surrounding both fields
The project is estimated at $1.4 million and will be paid utilizing the remaining funds from the 2023 General Obligation Bond. Wes-Del Superintendent Kyle Mealy said that these upgrades were not planned for another two years, however, remaining funds from the track and football field allowed for this project to move forward ahead of schedule. “The baseball and softball field upgrades were planned to be phase two of our outdoor athletic facility upgrades and were not planned until after 2025. We were able to complete the track and football field well under budget allowing the board to move forward on this phase without requesting more funds from taxpayers. In the end, the board of trustees will improve four athletic facilities and programs utilizing the same bond.” The project is scheduled to begin in mid to late June 2024.

Wes-Del Community Schools will close and transition to an eLearning day for Thursday, January 26th, 2023 due to slick road conditions. Students will need to logon to Schoology for their assignments. Teachers will be available via Schoology or email.
Wes-Del Community Schools will be operating on a two-hour delay for Thursday, January 26th, 2023, due to secondary road conditions. The delay will allow daylight to assist our bus drivers and student drivers in navigating secondary roads.

Fall season is upon us. This message serves as a reminder that All Season Sports Passes are now available in the Athletic Office for the 2022-2023 school year. Student Passes are $40, Adult passes are $80, and Family passes are $220. These passes will allow admission into ALL home Athletic events with the exception of Tournaments and Invites. There will be an ALL Sports Parent/Student- Athlete Meeting this Wednesday, August 3rd. The meeting will be held in the High School Auditorium following the Corporation Parent Meeting which begins at 6:00 pm. If your child plans to participate in a middle or high school sport during the 2022-2023 school year, please plan on attending this meeting.
